After deciding to make every Sunday my photo shoot day, the plan was put into action today as I waked up at 930am to travel all the way to Changi Village Terminal to survey that area together with Jufri. Took SBS2638Z on 161 (the noisy engine bus with no aircon) to Sengkang East Rd and hopped onto SBS8335H on 109. The entire journey took shorter than I've expected and I reached there at 1030am, 30 minutes b4 the meeting time. Who knows, Jufri was even eariler..

But anyway, the sun wasnt strong today so after walking around that area and takin a few test shots, we decided to head down to St Michael's Terminal eariler than planned. Took SBS141C on 59 to Tampines Ave 1 (Safra Tampines) and hopped on to SBS1928T on Service 5 which came almost immediately after we alighted. After a short ride on 5, we alighted at Jln Toa Payoh and changed to Service 139 (SBS3879M). We reached Whampoh Rd in no time so we started our photo shoot. The sun at Whampoh was stronger and thus the photos turned out much nicer compared to those at Changi Village. After taking a few shots, we went to have out lunch at the nearby coffeeshop and after that went back on out photo shoot. Not long later, Reuben came and we walked to the bus-stop outside NKF to take photos there. At about 3+pm, I left the group, thinking of taking 139 to Jln Toa Payoh and change 151 home. Who knows.. When I was walking to the bus stop, a 139 came and left. So I decided to walk to Jln Toa Payoh.

Cutting through the blocks, finally Jln Toa Payoh was in-sight, but not the bus-stop. Lucky my sense of direction wasn't bad and I've travelled on PIE (Jln Toa Payoh) countless times, so I walked in the direction of the bus-stop. I practically walking passed 2 temples, under many HDB blocks and even on the road shoulder of PIE... Finally, after 20 minutes, I reached the bus-stop, half-dead. It took 10 minutes for 151 to come, and lucky it was SBS1961X, which is known for it's power and cold aircon. If it was SBS991R, i would be 3/4 dead when I reached home.

The journey on 151 seems extremingly fast because I fell asleep... After alighting at the interchange, I walked home... ...

The entire day was neither hot nor sunny, but guess wad. I wore sandals, and there's tan marks on my feet... I only spent 6 hours under the Sun...

After a long long time never post, I'm back. I'm determined not to let this rot. Exams over!! Yeah.. But there's more to come. SCT assignment, Discovering Music listening journal, Spanish test, and some other assignments that I don't really bother to do only until the last few days before due date.

I finally got myself a DSLR Nikon D80 with a 18-105 lens. Took photos of buses as usual, and someone will say I'm a bus freak... Lols.. Anyway, there's something sad to mention. Firstly, TIB1172M and SMB15T (and 2 other cars) have got into an accident near Clementi MRT. I was the last to take a photo of 1172M before the accident. I know what you are thinking...

Anyway, I'll leave the photos to do the talking. Be warned, the photos are not for the faint hearted.

As usual, I fell asleep in Vernon Tan's lecture althought the tables of the chair were low. Fell asleep on Monday also. LOL... After lesson, which ended at 11am, I took a train in Boon Lay interchange (first time going there) to meet up with forum mates Faizal and Yong Ann. Walked to the exit of the Interchange and started to take photos. The weather was quite good, thus I was able to pull off some good shots. After that, we took 180 and alighted Bukit Panjang Interchange to transfer to 171 at the bus stop just outside Bukit Panjang Plaza. Guess what? SMB8P on split shift.

My first trip on a OC500LE turned out quite well. The announcement "Doors are closing" make me feel like I'm taking a train. LOL... Decided to throw in cash instead of using my ezlink card to get a ticket. After reaching Yishun, Faizal went to ask the SL whether can we take photos of the interior of the bus, and the SL kindly agreed so we took photos while the SL went to tap his card. We went to LJS to have our lunch and later decided to go to Yishun Ave 11 to camp for SMB7S. After awhile, it came and I took a photo of it. Waited for it to loop back and we took it back to Yishun. And again, I got a ticket (in fact 3) of it. Reach Yishun and saw SMB4A parked there with 851 desto. So decided to take it to outside Yio Chu Kang int. After 1 bus left, we went to check if the bus was still parked there. The bus disappeared... ... So no choice, take another bus to YCK and take 72 back to Hougang with Faizal, and Yong Ann took 70 (i think...) . Alighted outside Hougang Int and Faizal went to take some photos while I went home. The end...

Yes, your right. 3 more days to school re-open and it'll be another hectic schedule up ahead. My timetable as follows:

Mon 9am to 8pm (sian... cannot watch Amazing Race in the morning liao...)
Tues 8am to 11am (only 3 hours!!!)
Wed 8.30am to 10am/12nn (depending on even/odd week)
Thu 10am to 6pm (another long day...)
Fri 8am to 7.30pm (because of Spanish)

As usual, all SP students have to choose GEMs (General Elective Module). Wanted to join the module called "The Revealing Eye of Digital Photography". In the end, my com lagged like shit and didn't manage to get it in the first appointment. In the later appointment, there were no more seats left so I had to go for my second choice, "Discovering Music" which focus on Music theory. I've been learning Piano for 14 years. Surely this won't be tough for me??

Went out to the library today to return some books and actually wanted to take some photos for buses. Saw 2779a back on 107 (cameo on 74 yesterday, JY got a photo), 8024e and a B10 on 161. But the stupid weather was playing games with me. In the end didn't manage to take nice photos. So I decided to go home...

1 more week and school re-opens... What did I do this 6 weeks? Nothing interesting, other than going for bowling training every Monday, and meeting up with fellow bus fans like JY, KP, Wen Jun, Ben and Reuben. I've just got my very own digital camera and started to take (nicer) photos of buses. I got nothing much to talk about so I'll sign off here.

Everyday is the same, except for Monday when I got bowling training. Last Monday, I meet up with Jian Yew, someone I meet on the bus forum, to exchange service guides. So on that day, I left home earlier to board 74 (SBS665H) to Hougang Ave 3 (Serangoon CC) to meet him. So we meet at the bus-stop, exchanged the guides and talked about buses until my bus comes. Soon, another 74 (SBS9444U) came and I boarded it. When it was turning from Adam Rd to Bukit Timah Rd, I was looking to my left if there was a 151 coming. Luckily there is and so I alighted at Sixth Ave and boarded the 151 (SBS8099P) to Transview Golf Course. From there, I walked to SPGG and not long after my bowling training started.

On Wednesday, I meet up with my cousin and my aunt for lunch at Swensens' Compass Point as my aunt has coupons for Swensens'. I was rushing out of my house when I saw the bus was coming in 4 minutes time. Even so, I missed that bus and had to wait for another 15 minutes. I was hoping that the next would be SBS593G and guess what, it really was (believe it or not). Sat at the most back seat and the engine really sounded like a C151 refurbished Kawasaki Train. Anyway, had my usual Fish n Chips and after that went to Tampines Mall to meet my parents. Took SBS8136R on 27 from Opp Blk 241 Compassvale Rd. Was walking around Tampines Mall when I saw Toys 'r' Us. I always wanted to go Toys 'r' Us to get my bus model, and finally, I got it!! After having my dinner, went to Tampines Int to take bus home. Guess what, the 72 queue was extended to 2 berths away... that's crazy... And so long also no bus... Then came a MBO405. Only half the queue was able to get on the bus and so, including me, have to wait fot the next. Luckily, after about 5 minutes, came a B9 (SBS7412A) and everyone got up... Short trip back home via TPE.

Today was usual for me, waking up at 11am. Went downstairs for lunch and then later went to SPGG to meet Joey and Chor Boon for bowling. We were supposed to meet at 2pm, but I left home late, plus the bus came late on schedule, I reached school at 2.30pm. Took 151 (SBS8072R cameo from HG 64). Bowled 3 games, no super score as It was the first time I bowled since the last training, which I think is about 3 weeks ago. After that, supposed to meet Jian Feng to get the COD4 disc from him. Called him all the way from Dover to Yew Tee also no one pick up. Reach Yew Tee and waited while calling for 30 minutes, still no one answer. Got fed up so took train to Woodlands before taking 161 (SBS9399S) home. Third time I saw this bus today. That's all for today. Tomorrow will be a long day...

Exams coming to an end

Tomorrow, 26th August 2008, would be my last day of exams. Hooray!!! All the more, the exam is in the morning. Hooray!!! And then after that got PT outing, which the PT is not going. Hooray!!! Now that's 3 things to cheer about.

To justify:

First Hooray: Last day of exam, why not?
Second Hooray: Finish it early in the morning and have a great day. Why not?
Last Hooray: Mr Ji is not going. Why not? (For those who knows who's Mr Ji, you'll understand)

An Early Day yet a Long One

I woke up at 9am today. Yes you heard me right, it's 9am. It's counted as very early for me if I'm not going to school. Because I going out later. Jian Feng wanted to buy a PSP and already said that for like 1 year+... finally he decides to buy. Actually we should be meeting at 1pm but end up we met at 2pm. 2 reasons, I went out late and the bus was super slow (SBS2641M on 132) and when I finally reach Far East Plaza, JF and his friend was no where to be found. He told me at they are at #02-07, I walked there but no one there. Guess what? After I walking 1 round on the first level of Far East Plaza, he called me and say he's at Far East... ... ... Shopping Center. I was like thinking, what the hell.... Anyway, they walked to Far East Plaza after I guided them (actually I also not sure where is Far East Shopping Plaza). Then we went to FunzSquare, and JF bought the PSP. Guess what colour? But guess correct no prize. Lavender Purple.

The colour was rather... gay... in a sense that the purple was so light. Anyway, we went to KFC after that to transfer my games into his PSP (the reason y I went). 20GB worth of games. If I were to charge him $10 a game, I would be rich. After that, JF don't know which folder to put the games into, and his friend and I didn't want to tell him... lol... He was like stunned for awhile. Then not to compromise the time to go home, I told him the folder and then after that is me going home and them going back to Far East Shopping Center to continue shopping. With my ezlink card having negative value and pocket left $1.40, i had to take 132 to AMK MRT to top-up my card and then go back and take 74 home. So stupid lor. I should just have pretend to fall asleep in the bus and take all the way back home. But anyway, it's home sweet home.

For me, today started late (as usual), and was greeted with a "boo"... lol... SDT tomorrow, one of the modules I hate most, all the drawing and drawing of diagrams... I don't really see the use of that in my work next time. Got a stupid C for the MST, I don't really hope much from this paper. And furthermore, it's from 6pm to 8pm at T1A. How stupid is that? I'll be falling asleep by then. I guess a cup of coffee would help...

Following this, the last exam is on 26th of August, a solid 1 week away from tomorrow's test. As if I'm gonna study for it for the entire week. VDG is last, and honestly I didn't listen to the lectures. What am I gonna do? K book lor (a phrase learned from someone. lol...). Anyway, I don't have much time to post today, so it's the end.

A long day

My day started off with going to school at 115pm. When I was walking to the MRT station, I was thinking to myself, if I were to take a train to school, I will reach at 2pm and it's very early. So, I walked to the bus interchange and waited for 74. The first one came, NAC. Forget it. Right smack in the afternoon and I'm not gonna take a NAC. Decided to wait for the second. Guess what? Another NAC... -.-" . I give up. It was already like 145pm so if I waited for the next, I would most probably be late. So I took a train to school. Met ChengYi and WenLong outside the library and went for a very dreaded programming test which luckily and amazing turned out well. The questions are not very difficult and answers are straight forward. But 1 thing, what is a read-only method and non-property compliant method?

Anyway, 1 hour later, I went for another dreaded test. SPANISH!!!... The test almost got hindered because of some irritating construction work on the rooftop, which the sound will prevent us from doing our listening. But luckily, nothing stupid happened and everything went on as usual. The oral part was scary. My question was like present myself in Spanish whereas others got short answer questions. But anyway, the teacher said I did well so I was quite relieved. After that is home sweet home.

Today, EM test started on time at 12 and I decided to leave at 140pm as I cannot remember much things already. Then, I just remembered need to print the SA report, so JianFeng, ChengYi and me went to the library, which was suppose to be a risk as ChengYi said there's something wrong with the server. But all turned out well and we managed to print and submitted it. After that, I had nothing to do from 2 to 6pm, so I've decided to go to the Toys r Us in Jurong Point to see if they are selling the bus models. But this trip was wasted as I could not find the Toys r Us store. (Can anyone kindly tell me where is it?) After that, I though that I would want to take a bus rather than MRT back to school so I walked to Jurong Interchange, looking for a bus to take. I got two choices, 105, which have a chance of taking 2888, 2988 or 2998. But I opted to take 183, and guess what, I saw a Scania K230UB with purple interior, desto 183 moving towards the 183 berth. I was thinking to myself," wow, I'm so lucky to take that". For those who don't understand, it's SBS8033D, the demonstrator of the Scania KUBs. Very nice interior and I like the "noise" of the engine. Anyway, alighted at Transview Golf Club, now a worksite of NUS, and walked to SPGG. Met up with Joey later for dinner before proceeding to an uneventful bowling training and then home's next. That's all folks.

Today is just another Saturday which started off with me waking up late, as usual. Left home for piano lesson at 130pm and after that went to Hougang Superbowl to attend the demo day for Ebonite's NVD and Hammer's Black Widow Venom. Not the best of balls I should say, or maybe because they are not drilled to my hand, so it's doesn't react as well as my Black Widow Vite BPR. After that, went for a haircut after I cannot stand the heat.

I was sneezing all the way from morning to now, which might be a sign of another flu, or maybe someone is thinking of me all day :haha: . Anyway, went youtube-ing and song hunting and found some good videos and songs. I'll end here, and featuring the nice videos and songs:

First Post in Centuries

Everytime I create a blog, I fail to keep it updated, and I still cannot promise that this will continue on for a long time. Year 2 of polytechnic life is definitely much more stressful than the first, with projects never ending and time passing so fast, it's just 1 more month to EOS exams. What to do? I cannot stop time. Luckily, I've engaged myself in other activities other than study to "divert" my attention from stress.

My bowling journey has been rised to another level, and I'm currently in the tentative school team, waiting to be handpicked by the coach. Speaking about that, the 12 games selection was a disaster. 6 on monday, 6 on tuesday, and not forgetting the 4 games I played in the SMU doubles on Saturday. 12 games, 1922 pinfalls, 160.2 average was a disaster. Luckily, I still made it into the top 13, thankful to the 7th, 9th and 10th game, with scores 191, 195 and 219. Wierd to say, my new ball working much better on heavy and long oil. Really done wonders, but a burn in the pocket. $320. Wow...

Other than bowling, I've engaged myself in bus photography. Like buses since young, I never had the chance to know more about buses. Luckily I found a bus forum which gather all the avid fans and engage in discussions. Took some photos on the past weekend:
